Scenic route avoiding Sheffield Town Centre.
Approx 15 to 20 minutes. Don’t use Sat Nav.
Coming from the South of Sheffield on the M1.
Leave at Jcn 35 and turn left at top of slip road onto A629 towards Chapeltown.
Coming from the North of Sheffield on the M1.
Leave at Jcn 35 and go around the roundabout onto A629 towards Chapeltown.
Then follow these directions…….
Down A629 on Cowley Hill.
At second set of lights turn left down Cowley Drive onto Nether Lane.
Signpost reads Ecclesfield B6087.
At next traffic lights go straight on across the A6135 onto Mill Road.
At T-junction turn left onto B6087, Church street. Carry on past St Mary’s Church on your right.
Carry straight on onto Town End Road.
Carry straight on onto The Wheel road and Wheel Lane.
At the next traffic lights on the A61 Penistone Road go straight across onto Salt Box Lane.
At the top of Salt Box Lane turn left at T-junction onto Oughtibridge Lane and Station Lane.
Go over the hill and down to the bottom.
Going over the bridge at the bottom of Station Lane turn Left onto the one-way system at Low Road.
At the end of the one-way system bear right onto the A6102 Langsett Road South towards Manchester.
At the next crossroad after the Zebra crossing turn left onto Church Street, up past the Hare & Hounds pub.
At the top of Church Street turn left at the road sign for Worral, up Haggstones Road.
Follow Haggstone Road past the Blue Ball Pub.
Take first right up Kirk Edge Road.
Take second left up Long Lane.
Carry on up Long Lane over the hill.
Going downhill, past the Golf Course on your left.
At the bottom of the hill turn right at the T-junction onto Loxley Road.
Along Loxley Road take the first Left turn onto Rowell Lane.
Go down Rowell Lane until the first tree on your right.
There is a sign for Old Wheel Farm, showing a picture of a cow.
Turn right onto this Lane. This is our lane.
Follow the lane all the way to the bottom, over the river bridge, and you have found us.
If you prefer a route using only main roads please follow these directions.
Approaching Sheffield from the North turn off the M1 at junction 36 and follow the A61 south towards Sheffield.
Half a mile after passing the Sheffield Wednesday football ground turn right at the Pizza Hut.
Follow signs for Loxley on the B6077
After passing the Admiral Rodney pub turn left down Rowell Lane.
Only 200 yards down Rowell Lane turn right by the tree onto the Farm track.
Follow the lane all the way to the bottom, over the small bridge, and we are on the right.
Approaching Sheffield from the South leave M1 at junction 33 and follow A630 to Sheffield City Center.
Follow the A61 North ( not the A61 South ) out of Sheffield for approximately 2 mile.
After passing MacDonald’s and the B & Q store on your left, turn left before the KFC.
Follow signs for Loxley on the B6077.
